Day 3 Glasgow to Oban

Started the day returning to the Kelvingrove Museum and Gallery focusing on the natural history exhibits which covered everything from dinosaur fossils to WW II.  Leaving the museum we walked to Avis to pick up our rental car, returned to our hotel for our luggage, and hit the road by 12:15  Our drive to Oban, a port city on the west coast, was only 120 miles, but we didn't arrive at our B&B until 6 pm  after several stops, heavy traffic leaving Glasgow, constant rain, and very narrow roads once we were into the Highlands.

What would a museum be without school field trips?
Parking lot or cheese grater?

Inverary Castle, still in use as the home of the Duke of Argyll, and the television home of Downton Abbey's Cousin Shsrimpy

no doubt we were now in the Highlands
Our home for the next 3 nights, the Manor House in Oban

For dinner, we stayed at the Manor House for a wonderful dinner that included a bottle of French rosé, fillet of beef, a saddle of lamb, and choux buns.  Fabulous!
